My husband used a nickel to check the scale and still uses a nickel to check that it is measuring accurately. It seems to measure very accurately since we have bought it. Its been over a year and it is still working great.My toddler likes to help daddy and play with anything daddy has, including this scale. So far my toddler has been unable to break the scale.
